To Do Lists

I'd typically be off work today, though there was a special event scheduled and then canceled. Two days ago, Maddie and I worked together on lists of  things to be done during this time:

Projects
  • Identity ideas/drawings for the Yards
  • Cosplay
  • Baking
  • Cleaning/Organizing the kitchen
  • Organizing front hall
  • Organizing bathroom cabinet
  • Sand and seal blanket ladder
  • Attic - purge
  • Reorganize tool corner
  • Steam clean rugs (5)
  • Backyard tidy- scoop and rake
Daily Chores
  • Independent reading
  • Piano practice
  • Take care of pets
  • Tidy room
  • Sweep/mop/vacuum
  • Kahn Academy
  • Exercise
  • Laundry
Fun Stuff
  • Movies/TV
  • Free read
  • Drawing
  • Games
  • Snuggling animals
  • Go on walks
So far, so good. Exercise and walks every day. Lots of tidying and scrubbing being done. Games being played- favorite is Hero Realm, others include Qwirkle, Kwixx, backgammon. No one will play cards with me. :(

Pawl is at work - all restaurants in the state need to close for service, but can offer take out. All hourly workers are temporarily laid off and the managers are to be the only ones on, making sure everything is running. He may need to work every day, we'll see.

We have plenty of food and other staples. I went on the library app to find that everything has been renewed for 63 days. We walked to the optometrist today to pick up my new glasses- thank goodness, because I can't find my other pair. Otherwise, I would have waited until life returns to normal.

Maddie is feeling anxious and easily upset. I'm encouraging her to think of things she can do that are within her control to help manage the negative feelings. She just cleaned out the fridge and is making banana bread.

This must be what it's like when we're not here.

P is very happy to have defeated me in backgammon.

Monday - picked up new glasses (without touching anyone or anything) because I couldn't find my other pair!
Also trimmed my bangs, which was a worse decision today than it has been in the past.
