Did a bunch of work work today - ended the shift with calls to check in with volunteers. One such person kept me on the phone for 45 minutes, telling me all about her relatives, travel and all sorts of other boring stories. She ended the whole thing by saying that she thinks 'everyone in the government is doing their best' and 'now is not the time for hate.' Reading between the lines, it was clear that she supports the president - which was just so frustrating to hear. It threw off my mood for the rest of the day. I was grumpy. The only thing that made me feel better was exercising in the evening. It was just so disheartening.
